Govt has no information about Keralite joining IS: Chandy

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today said the government has no information about a youth from Kerala reportedly joining terror outfit Islamic State (IS).

The government has no such information, Chandy said to a question in this regard at cabinet briefing here.

There were media reports that the youth Thahir (24), hailing from Palakkad district, went missing after going to a Gulf country and suspected to have joined the terror group in Syria.
