Govt urged to constitute consumer welfare councils

The newly constituted All India Association for Consumer Rights today demanded that theadministration constitute consumer welfare councils at state and district levels in Puducherry.

AIACR President, K Suumaran, who presided over the the association's first meeting here, said in a release that the outfit was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Consumers Federation President, M.Nizamudheen.

National Human Rights Organisation secretary A Marx was among those who spoke.

Sugumaran said a resolution adopted at the meeting wanted formation of consumer welfare councils here at the State and district levels.
