Granddaughter's birth is Susan Sarandon's proudest moment

Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon says watching her daughter give birth to her granddaughter made her very proud.

The 67-year-old star helped Eva Amurri Martino, who is married to Kyle Martino, deliver her first child, Marlowe, at her home in Los Angeles last month, and admits the experience was overwhelming, reported People magazine.

"I have loved working, playing and travelling with my daughter but nothing prepared me for watching her birth Marlowe. She was a warrior, and I'm so proud to be her mother and to be a part of that beautiful new child," she said.
