A woman tied the nuptial knot here today with her aunt's son, hours after the groom was arrested on another lady's complaint that he had deserted her after promise of marriage.
The woman, who got to know that the groom was getting married today, filed a complaint with police alleging he had coerced her into a relationship and promised marriage, but deserted her later.
The man was arrested just hours before the wedding, police said.
Stunned family members of the bride wondered what was to be done when some of them hit upon the idea of asking her whether she was willing to marry her aunt's son, who was at the pandal.
Both of them agreed after which the marriage took place as scheduled.
