Groundnut oil prices dropped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on lower demand from stockists and retailers amid ample arrivals from producing regions.
Refined palmolein also surged due to good buying from retailers.
Elsewhere, castorseed bold, castoroil commerical gained on rising demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil also strengthened on sustained demand from paint industries.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil declined by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 960 from Monday's close Rs 980. However, refined palmolein rose further by Rs 4 per 10kg to Rs 491 as against Rs 487 previously.
Moving to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold moved up by Rs 25 per 100kg to Rs 4,125 from overnight closing level of Rs 4,100 and castor oil commercial rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 855 as against Rs 850.
Linseed oil added by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 805 as compared to Rs 800 previously.
