Groundnut oil eases in lacklustre trade

Groundnut oil eased further in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following reduced demand from stockists and retailers amid ample supply from producing region.

Meanwhile, refined palmolein, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oils held stable in absence of any large-scale buying activities.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil edged down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 935 from Friday's close Rs 940 and refined palmolein ended unaltered at Rs 542 per 10kg.

Moving to the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 4,525 per 100 kg, Rs 935 per 10 kg and Rs 780 per 10 kg, respectively.
