Groundnut oil gains on rising demand

Groundnut oil gained further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following rising demand from stockists and retailers.

Elsewhere, refined palmolein recovered marginally owing to good demand from retailers.

While, castor seed bold and castor oil commercial dropped owing to reduced demand from soaps and shippers industries.

Meanwhile, linseed oil ruled steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.

In the edibles section, groundnut oil rose by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 940 from Monday's closing level of Rs 920 and refined palmolein regained by a rupee per 10 kg to Rs 665.

Moving to the non-edibles segment, castor seed bold fell by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,495 as against Rs 4,520 and castor oil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 929 from Rs 934 yesterday.

 

Linseed oil ended unaltered to Rs 940 per 10 kg.
