Groundnutoil strengthened at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on heavy demand from stockists and retailers amid good festive offtake.
Refined palmolein also recovered slightly owing better to retail buying.
Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial fell following subdued demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseedoil maintained a stable trend in the absence of any major buying activity.
In the edible section, groundnutoil spurted by Rs 30 per 10 kg to Rs 1,290 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,260 and linseedoil edged up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 575 from Rs 573.
Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold dropped by Rs 90 per 100 to Rs 3,725 from its overnight level of Rs 3,815 and castoroil commercial declined by Rs 18 per 10 kg to Rs 775 as against Rs 793 previously.
Linseeds closed unchanged at Rs 1,050 per 10 kg.
