A guard posted at the residence of a Superintendent of Police allegedly committed suicide today by shooting himself, police said.
Dinesh Kumar (28), shot himself with his rifle and died on the spot in the guard room, SP Sonia Singh said.
Kumar, whose marriage was scheduled on December 5 was about to go on a 20-day leave from November 25, she said, adding that the motive behind the suicide could not be ascertained yet.
Investigations are on, she added.
