Shooting for the Gujarat Tourism's campaign involving megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be rescheduled following the actor's inability to visit the state because of health reasons, a senior official said today.

The shooting for 'Khushboo Gujarat Ki' campaign was to start at Champaner-Pavagadh from tomorrow.

"We received the message from Bachchan in this regard a short while ago and that is why we have decided to reschedule

his programme of visits to the sites at later stage," a Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd official told PTI.

Earlier, former Union Minister and Congress candidate from Chhota Udepur, Naranbhai Rathwa, had approached the Election Commission objecting to the shooting of TCGL's campaign involving the megastar.

Rathwa had alleged that Narendra Modi-led Gujarat government was trying to take advantage of the Bollywood actor's celebrity status to influence the voters in the area.

Narendra Rawat, Vadodara Congress chief, too had raised this issue last week.

Rawat had written to both Chief Electoral Officer of the state Anita Karwal and the Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath in this regard.

It would violate the model code of conduct, he had alleged.
