Gunmen make abortive bid to abduct businessman

The accused tried to take away the local businessman at a crowded public place, but he raised an alarm, police said.

The trio managed to escape after they were chased by passersby, police said, adding that a manhunt has been launched to track the three as they are reportedly headed towards the border.
