Gur chakku declines in Muzaffarnagar

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market closed steady in national capital today following sporadic buying support.

On the other hand, gur chakku prices declined by Rs 75 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar gur market due to fresh supply amidst reduced offtake.

Marketmen said fresh supplies from manufacturing areas, mainly weighed on gur chakku prices in muzaffarnagar.

Gur chakku prices eased from Rs.2,950-3,200 to settle at Rs 2,950-3,125 per quintal.

Following are today's rates per quintal:

Gur chakku 3,400-3,500, pedi 3,500-3,600, dhayya N.A. And shakkar 3,700-3,800.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 3,000-3,025, chakku 2,950-3,200, khurpa N.A. And Ladoo N.A.

Muradnagar: Pedi 3,150-3,200 and dhayya N.A.
