The wholesale gur (jaggery) market remained quiet in the national capital today with prices by and large hovering both ways on alternate bouts of buying and selling and and selling, settling at overnight levels.
On the other hand, Muzaffarnagar gur market revealed a decline of Rs 50 per quintal on sluggish demand.
Marketmen said weak demand due to off season mainly pulled down gur prices in Muzaffarnagar.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur chakku prices settled lower by Rs 25 to end at Rs 3,050-3,350 per quintal.
Also, price of gur Laddoo weakened by Rs 50 to finish at Rs 3,250-3,300 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,600-3,700, pedi Rs 3,600-3,700, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs N.Q., chakku Rs 3,050-3,350, khurpa Rs N.Q. And Ladoo Rs 3,250-3,300.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,175-3,350 and dhayya Rs 3,400- 3,450.
