Gur fell in delhi, improves in Muzaffarnagar, Muradnagar

Gur chakku and Pedi prices declined up to Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale Jaggery market at national capital today following slackness in demand.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also enquired higher upto Rs 100 per quintal on paucity of stocks.

Marketmen said slackness in demand mainly pulled down gur chakku and pedi prices in delhi.

On the other hand, paucity of stocks along with speculative buying by stockists mainly pushed up gur prices in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets.

In Delhi, gur chakku and Pedi prices slipped by Rs 100 each to Rs 2700-2800 and Rs 2800-2850 per quintal.
 

On the other hand, gur Dhayya prices asked higher by Rs 100 to Rs 3000-3100 per quintal.

At Muzaffarnagar, Gur Khurpa and Ladoo prices traded higher at Rs 2500-2550 and Rs 2700-2750 from Rs 2450-2500 and Rs.2600-2750 per quintal.

Turning to Muradnagar, there prices of gur Pedi and Dhayya settled at Rs 2500-2570 and Rs 2550-2600 from Rs.2450-2500 and Rs.2500-2550 per quintal.

The following are today's quotations per quintal:

Gur chakku 2,700-2,800, pedi 2,800-2,850, dhayya 3,000-3,100 and shakkar 3,100-3,200.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,300-2,350, chakku 2,500-2,850 khurpa 2,500-2,550 and Ladoo 2,700-2,750.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,500-2,570 and dhayya 2,550-2,600.
