Gur prices climbed by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today largely on increased buying amidst tight supplies.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also remained in better form and prices rose up to Rs 250 per quintal.
Marketmen said increased buying by stockists and retailers against fall in supplies from manufacturing areas, mainly supported the upside in gur prices.

In Delhi, gur Pedi and Shakkar prices shot up by Rs 200 each to settle at Rs 2,700-2,800 and Rs 3,000-3,100 per quintal.
Gur chakku and Dhayya too found support and rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,600-2,700 and Rs 2,900-3,000 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar gur Laddoo prices went up by a whopping Rs 250 to finish at Rs 2,450-2,600 per quintal.
Gur Chakku and Khurpa advanced up to Rs 200 to Rs 2,300-2,600 and Rs 2,250-2,350 per quintal.
Gur raskat also attracted buyers' attention and spurted by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 2,300-2,350 per quintal on increased offtake by beer makers.
Coming to Muradnagar, prices of Pedi and dhayya enquired higher by Rs 150 each to Rs 2,350-2,400 and Rs 2,450-2,500 per quintal.

Gur chakku Rs 2,600-2,700, pedi Rs 2,700-2,800, dhayya Rs 2,900-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,300-2,350, chakku Rs 2,300-2,600, khurpa Rs 2,250-2,300 and Ladoo Rs 2,450-2,600.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,350-2,400 and dhayya Rs 2,450-2,500.
