Gur remains steady, raskat climbs on rising demand

Gur prices ended steady at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today on scattered demand.

On the other hand, gur raskat prices shot up by Rs 100 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar gur market on rising demand from beer makers.

Gur Raskat prices climbed from Rs 2,600-2,650 to end at Rs 2,700-2,750 per quintal.

Following are today's rates per quintal:

Gur chakku 3,200-3,300, pedi 3,200-3,300, dhayya 3,400-3,500 and shakkar 3,500-3,600.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,700-2,750, chakku 2,750-3,100, khurpa 2,650-2,750 and Ladoo 2,900-3,000.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,850-2,900 and dhayya 2,900-3,000.
