Gur settles steady on some support

Gur (Jaggery) prices settled steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today following small buying amid adequate stocks.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also pegged on last levels on scattered buying support.

Marketmen said absence of demand amid ample stocks mainly kept prices unchanged.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,300-3,400, pedi Rs 3,200-3,300, dhayya Rs 3,400-3,500 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,650, chakku Rs 2,950-3,050, khurpa Rs 2,825-2,850 and Ladoo Rs 2,900-2,950.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,825-2,900 and dhayya Rs 2,900-2,950.
