Barring a rise of Rs 100 per quintal in gur shakkar prices on paucity of stocks, rest all other gur varieties ruled steady at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today.
Muradnagar gur market also saw a rise of Rs 50 per quintal in gur pedi prices on scarcity of stocks.
Marketmen said paucity of stocks following negligible arrivals from manufacturing belts due to adverse weather conditions particularly pushed up the Shakkar in Delhi and Pedi in Muradnagar.

In Delhi, shakkar price moved up by Rs 100 to end at Rs 4,100-4,200 per quintal.
At Muradnagar, gur Pedi prices enquired higher by Rs 50 to conclude at Rs 3,300-3,350 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,600-3,700, pedi Rs 3,700-3,800, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs N.Q., chakku Rs 3,125-3,350, khurpa Rs N.Q. And Ladoo Rs 3,250-3,300.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,300-3,350 and dhayya Rs 3,400-3,450.
