A gym instructor and his accomplice have been arrested in connection with murder of a shopkeeper in outer Delhi last week, police said today.
The accused Rakesh was the victim's neighbour and during interrogation he admitted murdering Sushil Kumar over a petty dispute.
Victim Sushil Kumar was going to pick up his children when the accused Rakesh shot him in the neck near NDPL office on December 2 afternoon. The co-accused Harpal was riding the bike, said Pankaj Singh, Additional DCP(I) of outer district.
During interrogation Rakesh admitted murdering Sushil over a petty dispute. He revealed that 2-3 months back he had sough victim's help in rebuking another shopkeeper near his house, butSushil had refused to intervene, said the officer.
The murder weapon was recovered from Gannaur in Haryana on the instance of the accused, added the officer.
