The much-awaited Habibganj-Indore and Bhopal-Indore air-conditioned double-decker train was flagged off by the Union Minister of State for Railways Adhir Ranjan Choudhary here today.
"The introduction of this train will prove to a boon to a large number of passengers commuting between Bhopal and Indore daily," Choudhary said on the occasion.
Responding to demands made by Congress leader Govind Goyal and Bhopal BJP MP Kailash Joshi, the minister announced that the new train will also stop at the Bairagarh station en route Indore and back.

The Habibganj-Indore train will run via Dewas, while the Bhopal-Indore train will run via Ujjain daily.
Speaking about the demand to bring Shatabdi Express train upto Habibganj, the minister said that he would examine the feasibility of the issue with railway authorities.
Answering a question, the minister said that the issue of current fares of the train would be examined after sometime, if lesser passengers boarded than expected.
