Actor Danny DeVito says he encouraged Harry Styles to become an actor but joked that the singer needs some improvement.
It was recently reported that Styles has landed a leading role in Christopher Nolan's latest movie "Dunkirk" and DeVito claims that he advised the One Direction star and bandmates to try acting during their hiatus, reported New York Daily News.
DeVito, who appeared in 1D's "Steal My Girl" video, said, "The big thing I told One Direction when they were breaking up was that they should take all their money and get some acting lessons. I am delighted for Harry. Harry is going to do a good movie with Christopher Nolan.
"He is like a natural, a handsome guy and is good. And he needs to work on his skills a little.
"We had a wonderful time making the video. The guys were really great for me."
Styles is not the only One Direction singer to be linked to a movie role recently, as Louis Tomlinson, 24, is believed to be the leading candidate to play soccer star Jamie Vardy in the Hollywood movie documenting the Leicester striker's incredible rags to riches story.
