Haryana Chief Minister inaugurates vegetable market

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today inaugurated a new vegetable market at the Grain Market here and said it will "benefit the vendors and ease traffic congestion in the city".

The new market has been set up at a cost of Rs 18 crore over an area of 35 acre which has 328 shops and four big sheds for vegetable vendors, he said, adding also 22 Shop-cum-Flats (SCF) and 36 small booths have been constructed in it.

Besides, facility of four parking areas, four toilets, a canteen and a rest house has also been provided in the new vegetable market.
 

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stones of sewerage facilities in recently approved 23 colonies and drains at different places in Karnal town.
