Haryana Government has decided to exempt movie 'Pagdi: The Honour,' which focuses on social awareness against honour killing, from entertainment duty.

"A proposal to this effect has been approved by Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar," an official spokesman said here today.

He said that according to the producer of the film, Rajiv Bhatia, the film has bagged national and international awards.

The film has been extensively shot in villages around Hisar city.

"It reflects Haryanvi traditions and customs. It focuses on social awareness and eradication of social evils such as honour killing," he added.
