Haryana govt sanctions Rs 2.83 cr for police equipment

The Haryana government has sanctioned Rs 2.83 crore for the purchase of various equipment under a scheme for modernisation of state police.

While Rs 17.10 lakh would be spent during this financial year on the purchase of police equipment like video cameras and digital cameras for field police stations and police posts, communication equipment would be purchased with Rs 67.60 lakh, an official spokesperson said here today.

Likewise, scanning microscope with LED TV, centrifuge machine with thermostat, gas liquid mass spectrophotometer, gas chromatograph, computerized polygraph machine and other equipment would be purchased with Rs 1.99 crore, he said.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Manohar Khattar has accorded administrative approval for the purchase of instruments or equipment for the two new Regional Forensic Science Laboratories (RFSL) in Bhondsi, Gurgaon and Sunaria, Rohtak, the spokesperson said.
 

The state government has sanctioned the two RFSLs recently and these are going to be operational soon, the spokesperson added.
