Haryana govt sets up working group

Haryana government has set up a Working Group to carry out studies in the fields of horticulture, irrigation, agriculture and dairy technologies and to interact with Israeli experts in the areas of co-operation as envisaged under the Indo-Israel Work Plan.

The group would submit an action plan as regards technology transfer, import of high-yielding planting material, continuous transport technology in horticulture, area of cooperation in the fields of organic farming and bee-breeding and transfer of technology for use of brackish water for agriculture.

It would also prepare an action plan for transfer of technology for use of sewage water for agriculture, transfer of technology in the fields of animal dairy technology and fisheries and setting up of units in industrial areas in Haryana to manufacture plastic film and micro-irrigation facilities.
 

An official spokesman said today that the group has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture.
