Haryana health dept for planned approach to projects

"In the first phase, SSS would be started at 10 sub-centres of each district to identify problems, provide solution and impart training in the health sector," Director of National Rural Health Mission, Rakesh Gupta, said in a workshop at Panchkula.

The health official claimed that better planning and execution of projects would help the department immensely in bringing down Infant Mortality Rate and Maternal Mortality Rate.

"Standardised formats have been designed and field-tested for conducting supportive supervision in a systematic manner," he added.

Supervision teams, comprising state health officials and representatives from the Central government, would visit each district to check the infrastructure, skill level and availability of medicines, he said.
