Haryana to change name of Agriculture department

The Haryana government today decided to change the name of Agriculture Department to Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department (Krishi Evam Kisan Kalyan Vibhag).

A decision to this effect has been taken on recommendations of the National Commission of Farmes, a state government spokesman said.

The proposal to this effect has been approved by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, he added.
