Haryana traders today called off the proposed March 17 strike after Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar assured full compensation to the owners of commercial establishments which were damaged during Jat agitation.
A decision to this effect was taken at a state-level meeting of Haryana Pradesh Beopar Mandal (HPBM) held at Bhiwani today, presided over by its president Bajrang Dass Garg.
According to Garg, a delegation of traders had met Khattar in Chandigarh on March 13 and discussed about the compensation to the affected traders.
Chief Minister gave assurance and agreed to waive the interest on bank loan for three months to the affected traders following which the proposed Haryana bandh has been withdrawn, he said.
