Hawaii keen on collaborating with Indian filmmakers

America's picturesque state Hawaii is keen on collaborating with Indian cinema and inviting Indian filmmakers to shot films, US Congress member Tulsi Gabbard said here today.

The Democrat representative from Hawaii was in city on a day-long visit to meet the Governor and Chief Minister.

"India has a very exciting film industry and I think this is an area where we can collaborate to bring Indian films to be shot in Hawaii because we have scenic vistas that can be used for these films," Gabbard told PTI.

She said many popular TV shows, big projects like Jurassic Park and other films have been shot in Hawaii.
 

"We have a very exciting film industry in Hawaii. We try to bring investors because we have the opportunity for people who would like to make more of these kinds of productions," she said.

Gabbard said she has also planned meetings with film producers, studios to discuss about possible collaborations.

The US lawmaker also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other leaders during her current visit to India.
