HC dismisses petitions on defection issue

The Hyderabad High Court today dismissed a bunch of writ petitions questioning the "inaction" by the Speaker of Telangana Legislative Assembly regarding their petitions seeking disqualification of some MLAs who allegedly defected to ruling TRS.

A division bench of High Court ruled that it cannot interfere before the Speaker takes a decision.

The petitions had been filed Telugu Desam Party workers questioning the defections of some TDP members to TRS.
