The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court today dismissed a petition demanding constitution of a Kinner (eunuch) commission.
Dismissing the PIL, Justice Imtiyaz Murtaza and Justice DK Upadhyay asked the petitioner to approach the state government and give his representation.
The PIL filed by Payal Kinner said that there was no forum where eunuchs could raise their grievances. They are socially, economically and educationally backward and are discriminated against, which is in violation of the Article 15 of the Constitution, the petitioner added.
