The interim bail granted to former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala has been extended by Delhi High Court for another week after an AIIMS medical board filed its fresh report on his health condition.
The court had earlier taken note of the plea of 78-year-old Chautala that despite his successful pacemaker implant surgery, he needed constant medical help for various age-related issues and his interim bail should be extended for another three months.
Justice Siddharth Mridul, in an order yesterday, extended Chautala's interim bail till September 6 and directed the high court registry to supply copies of the AIIMS report, filed in a sealed cover, to the counsel for Chautala and also CBI.

Justice Mridul, on August 12, while extending interim bail of Chautala had asked the Director of AIIMS to constitute a medical board and file a report giving specific answer to a query as to whether Chautala needs hospitalisation.
The INLD leader, his MLA son Ajay Singh Chautala and 53 others are serving varying jail terms in a teachers' recruitment scam in the year 2000.
Earlier, the court had granted interim bail for four weeks to Ajay Chautala also for treatment of his cardiac ailments at a private hospital in Gurgaon here.
Ajay, like his father, has been advised either to undergo the pacemaker implant surgery or other medical procedures for his cardiac disease.
The senior Chautala had moved the high court challenging his conviction and 10-year jail term awarded in the junior teachers recruitment scam.
