HC rejects Ramdev aide's plea for release of passport

The Uttarakhand High Court today rejected a petition of yoga guru Ramdev's aide Balkrishna for release of his passport and accord permission to visit the US and the UK.

The single bench of Justice U C Dhyani directed that a fresh case be filed before the court rather than moving the application under the case filed in February when Balkrishna had made a request for allowing him to visit Nepal.

In February, the high court had granted permission to Balkrishna to visit Nepal for which carrying a passport is not mandatory.
