Head clerk arrested taking bribe

Vigilance sleuths arrested a head clerk of child development programme today for taking Rs 4000 bribe.
Acting on a complaint of an Aganwadi worker, vigilance officials laid a trap and arrested the head clerk Dhirendra Kumar Singh accepting Rs 4000 bribe, Director of Vigilance Bureau P K Thakur said in a statement.
The official had sought money from the Anganwadi worker to clear his arrears, he said.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had yesterday held a high level meeting of officials to sharpen war against corruption in the state.
