Head constable killed in road accident

Two persons, including a head constable, were killed when the bike they were riding on was hit by an unidentified vehicle, police said today.

Head constable Kehmpal Singh (50) and his friend Bhuvenesh Sharma (40) were killed yesterday when their bike was hit by an unknown vehicle in Behjoi area here killing the duo on spot, they said.

The bodies have been sent for post mortem, police said, adding, no arrests have been made so far and the matter is being investigated.
