Uttar Pradesh continued to reel under severe heat with mercury soaring in most parts of the state with Allahabad recording a temperature of 45.2 degrees Celsius.
MeT office said weather remained dry in the state and heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places.
The highest temperature was recorded in Allahabad at 45.2 degrees Celsius while Lucknow was at 42.6, Varanasi at 43.4, Sultanpur at 44 and Kanpur at 42.4 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman has predicted dry weather and heat waves at isolated places.
