Heavy rain in western Uttar Pradesh

With southwest monsoon remaining active, the western parts of Uttar Pradesh witnessed heavy rainfall today, while it was normal in the remaining parts of the state.

According to the MeT department, moderate rain or thundershower occured at many places over western Uttar Pradesh.

Najibabad, Bijnore and Palliakalan recorded 10 cm of rainfall each, followed by Kunda (9), Sandila (8), Gonda, Bareilly (7 cm each) and Nighasan, Aonla (6 cm each).

The MeT department has forecast rain or thundershower at many places of eastern Uttar Pradesh tomorrow.
