Heavy rain lashes Erode

Erode and its surrounding areas

received heavy rain accompanied by strong winds, officials said today.

A poultry shed collapsed near here and some trees were damaged due to the gale and rains last night, officials said.

Traffic was hit due to the rains. Power supply was also disrupted in many areas.
