Heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places in Bihar

Heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at one or two places in Bihar in the past 24 hours, the Met office said today.

Patna received 5 mm of rainfall today while Jainagar in Madhubani district received 16 cm of rainfall.

Banka received 12 cm rainfall, Gaunaha in West Champaran district 7 cm and Katoria in Banka district received 6 cm in past 24 hours, they said

Light to moderate rainfall occurred at a few places in the state.

Bhagalpur recorded the state's highest maximum temperature at 37.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Patna 37.2, Gaya 36.4 and Purnea 35.4 degree Celsius.

The Met department forecast partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower in Patna, Gaya and Bhagalpur tomorrow while it may be generally cloudy sky with moderate rain in Purnea.
