Heroin worth Rs 25 crore smuggled from Pak seized

Border Security Force personnel at Indo-Pak border village have seized five kg of heroin worth Rs 25 crore in the international market.
The drug was pushed to India from Pakistan, Deputy Inspector General BSF R P S Jaswal said here today adding the contraband was seized last night in the area of Border Out Post Bhainian in Amritsar Sector.
The troops received inputs regarding an attempt of smuggling from the area of Bhainian.
During the search, the party recovered five packets of heroin from cemented pipe placed near a diesel-powered tube well (inside Indian territory) at a distance of about 100 m from the International Boundary.
