Hilary Swank to be honoured for 'Boys Don't Cry' role

Actress Hilary Swank is set to be honoured by organisers at Outfest for her role as a transgender man in 1999 film 'Boys Don't Cry'.
The 40-year-old 'Million Dollar Baby' star, who won the first of her two Oscars for her portrayal of Brandon Teena in the drama, will receive the Trailblazer Award at Outfest's Legacy Awards in Los Angeles on November 12, reported Los Angeles Times online.
The ceremony will mark the 15th anniversary of the film and serve as a fundraiser in support of the Outfest UCLA Legacy Project, the largest archive of Lgbt moving images in the world.
