Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh has directed Vice Chancellors of government universities in the state to conduct convocation ceremonies regularly so that the students can get their degree on time.
The Governor recently issued directions to VCs of 26 universities for holding regular convocations, conducting examinations and other academic activities in the given time frame, according to an official release issued here today.
He said the universities should decide the schedule of convocation at the beginning of each academic session.

The Governor also asked the VCs to ensure transparency in administration and quality in research work.
Singh told the VCs to make necessary amendments in syllabus to make the courses job oriented.
He also insisted upon keeping the campus clean, the release stated.
