Three persons died and 11 were seriously ill after consuming illicit liquor at Maniktat in South 24-Parganas district today.
Fourteen people drank country liquor from a shop under Kultali police station this morning, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Partha Acharya said.
While three persons died on way to hospital, the seriously ill people were admitted to the Bangur hospital, the SDO said.
Earlier yesterday, six persons died and 10 were seriously injured after consuming illicit liquor from a shop under the same police station.
