Alleging that medical neglicence led to the death of their relatives, a group of people today staged a picketing in front of the hospital here.
59-year old Velayutham of Udayampalayam in the city was admitted to the hospital a fortnight ago and died in the early hours of today. The hospital management allegedly demanded Rs 1.25 lakh toward treatment cost for handing over the body, police said.
Accusing the hospital of wrong diagnosis and treatment, some relatives squatted in front of the hospital and sought compensation and immediate release of body.
