Hot and dry in UP

The weather remained dry in parts

of Uttar Pradesh today with Banda being the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 42.6 degrees Celsius.

According to MeT department, day temperatures rose in Gorakhpur division and changed little elsewhere while there was light rain at isolated places.

Night temperature rose appreciably in Gorakhpur and fell in Faizabad division and did not change much elsewhere, it said.

Banda was recorded hottest in the state at 42.6 degrees Celsius.

The weatherman has predicted rain or thundershowers and thunderstorms with gusty winds at isolated places over the state for tomorrow and the day after.
