It was a hot day in the national capital with the maximum temperature settling at 39.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
The weather department has forecast a spell of rain/thunderstorm, accompanied with squall, in the national capital late in the evening. It said the wind speed might go up to 50-70 kilometers per hour.
The minimum temperature settled at at 24 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal, said a MeT department official.
Humidity level oscillated between 65 and 25 per cent.
The MeT office has forecast overcast skies along with the possibility of thundershower accompanied with squall for tomorrow.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 34 and 24 degrees respectively," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures settled at 36.2 and 26.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
