Hot, humid conditions continue to make Bihar sultry

Sultry weather conditions made life difficult for people in Bihar and will continue to do so for the next one week, the Met department said today.

Hot and humid conditions will continue till one week or so or till the arrival of monsoon in the state, the weatherman said.

Capital Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 27.4 degrees Celsius, the state Met office said.

Humidity was 65 per cent in Patna in the morning and 46 per cent in the evening, the Met office said.

Gaya was the hottest place in Bihar today with maximum temperature recorded at 40.6 degrees Celsius.
 

Gaya also recorded trace rainfall, a Met department official said.

Bhagalpur registered maximum temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius and Purnea recorded a maximum temperature 34.7 degrees Celsius.

The state weather office forecast said Patna and Gaya would witness partly cloudy sky with Patna expected to record a maximum of 38 degrees Celsius.
