House fire claims two lives in Azamgarh

Two children were killed and their mother was seriously injured as their house in Latghat township caught fire this morning, police said.

Their mother Sunita (37) was cooking food when the fire broke out because of a leak in the gas cylinder, police said.

While Sunita's six-month old son, who was sleeping, died on the spot, the other seven year-old Prince was rushed to the district hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival, police added.
