Hyderabad pick three points after draw with Services

Hyderabad batsman Hanuma Vihari's century proved vital as the Ravi Teja-led side managed to bag three points on the basis of its first-innings lead against Services after the Group C Ranji Trophy cricket match ended in a draw, here today.

Top-order batsman Vihari's excellent 119 helped the hosts post 338 in response to Services' 3-6 in the first innings, a vital lead of 32 runs in the four-day encounter at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal.

Hyderabad leg-spinner Akash Bhandari then spun a web to bag five wickets and pack Services for 285 in the second innings. Services skipper Yashpal SIngh top-scored with 60 runs.
 

Needing 253 for a win, Hyderabad were 52 for one at stumps when the bails were taken off for one final time in the match.
