Hyderabad police on alert following blasts in Patna

In the wake of serial blasts in Patna earlier in the day, police here stepped up security.

"Security checks are going on and it will continue for some more days in view of Diwali festival," a senior official said.

"A general alert has been issued here and various wings of city police are conducting anti-sabotage checks at public places, lodges, cinema halls and malls," he said.
